Philanthropy (Invitation Only)

While philanthropy, which means “love of mankind,” includes values based on helping others, formal conversations about faith are rare in funding circles. Organizational funders and individual donors alike are rarely afforded the opportunity to explore how faith is a powerful motivating tool for social transformation, and how communities of faith can actively participate in bringing about social justice in our world. Participants in this session will more deeply explore these dynamics and consider how they and the philanthropic community more broadly can take better advantage of the power of faith in advancing social justice movements.
