M. Daniel Carroll R.

I am half-Guatemalan (my mother) and that part of my identity and experience has largely defined my personal life, my work as a professor, and in immigration reform. I taught for many years at a seminary in Guatemala City before returning to the US and remain an adjunct there. Ten years ago I founded a Spanish speak-speaking lay-level educational program at Denver Seminary, where I was a distinguished professor of Old Testament before coming to Wheaton College, where I will begin in this fall. I have published extensively in the areas of the Old Testament prophets and social ethics. Joan and I have been married 40 years and have two grandsons.
